Do you remember my post on Assam Laksa, the sweet & sour fish soup from Malaysia? If not, check it out: It is delicious and easy to make, you only need to be a fan of fish and exotic spices to like it (http://fourchetteknife.com/2014/05/18/malaysian-assam-laksa).
I sorted my photo library today and found my best impressions of Malay food. The pictures were taken during my trip to HongKong and Borneo at the beginning of the year. What I haven’t captured on camera unfortunately are pictures of bami goreng (fried noodles) and nasi goreng (fried rice) but the chances are high that you know these from your around-the-corner Asian restaurant already.
The butter shrimps, sambal spicy fish and the durian fruit were my favorit!
If you happen to go to Malaysia remember minuman (= drink) and makan (= eat) and you will have a great time exploring the local delicacies.
